By adding 4 more of the optical elements to the potentiometer a 6 channel attenuator will result - see Fig. 2. (See next link).

Opinion is only as valid as its verifiable supporting evidence.
Recommended for amps with an input impedance greater than 50k and source impedance less than 100 ohms.
I don't typically like claims that announce it is stunning compared to existing passive formulations...kind of like the speaker wire controversy....which seems a more stimulating discussion.
Steve, Valid point. The DCX has an output impedance of 160 ohm. Of course, getting around the mis-match would not be a problem for some members. A DEQ 2496 would be an easier way to go(no DIY required and not too expensive).
